Bruce Randolph Principal Announcement

Dear Bruce Randolph School Community,

We are excited to announce that Juanita Valdez has been selected as the new principal of Bruce Randolph for the 2022-2023 school year. We are confident Juanita will continue to build upon the many strengths of Bruce Randolph and that she will carry on and expand Bruce’s strong foundation of success for students.

Juanita Valdez has served in Denver Public Schools since 2013 and most recently as the Assistant Principal and Principal Resident at Bruce Randolph School. Juanita was born and raised in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood to a family of strong and hardworking women that made the best out of what they had. Juanita is a proud Denver Public Schools alum. Juanita holds the strong belief that all children can achieve at high levels as long as they feel safe, challenged, and supported. Juanita’s overall goal is to provide students with an education that empowers them to be active agents of change in their communities and their world. Ms. Valdez is eager to continue to work with students, staff, and the community to optimize student learning and experiences.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed input and feedback to the selection process. A huge thank you and my sincerest gratitude goes out to the Collaborative School Committee (CSC) for their hard work and for being an integral part of this process. This committee served the school community very well and their commitment to the ongoing success of Bruce Randolph throughout the hiring process was apparent at every turn. We appreciate your engagement.

Nos complace anunciarles que Juanita Valdez ha sido seleccionada como nueva directora de Bruce Randolph para el año escolar 2022-2023. Estamos convencidos de que Juanita seguirá desarrollando las numerosas fortalezas de Bruce Randolph y que podrá afianzar y ampliar la sólida base de Bruce para el éxito de nuestros estudiantes.

Juanita Valdez ha trabajado en las Escuelas Públicas de Denver desde 2013 y, en forma más reciente, como subdirectora y directora residente de la escuela Bruce Randolph. Juanita nació y se crio en el vecindario de Five Points de Denver en una familia de mujeres trabajadoras y fuertes que salieron adelante con lo que tenían. Juanita es una orgullosa exalumna de las Escuelas Públicas de Denver. Juanita cree firmemente que todos los niños pueden alcanzar altos logros siempre y cuando se sientan seguros, retados y apoyados. La meta general de Juanita es proveer a los estudiantes una educación que los empodere para ser agentes de cambio en sus comunidades y en el mundo. A la Srta. Valdez le entusiasma enormemente continuar trabajando con los estudiantes, el personal escolar y la comunidad a fin de optimizar el aprendizaje y experiencias de los estudiantes.

También deseo aprovechar esta oportunidad para agradecer a todos los que aportaron sus comentarios y opiniones durante el proceso de selección. Estoy muy agradecida con ustedes y expreso nuestra más sincera gratitud al Comité Escolar de Colaboración (CSC) por su ardua labor y por ser parte integral de este proceso.
