Chromebook Return Reminder
As we approach the end of the year, we want to remind families that all students will need to turn in their chrome books and chargers. Check-in will begin for seniors on the 20th and 28th for other grades. Students will be asked to complete a survey in the next week to document whether they have lost a charger or have any damage to their Chromebook. Reminder there are charges for students who have lost chargers and/or lost or damaged Chromebooks.

Chromebook Care & Hazardous Trend
As you received a message yesterday, there is a dangerous new social media trend of students sticking items into their chromebooks. This can destroy the computer and may cause a fire. Please have a conversation with your student to remind them of the importance of making wise choices regarding tihnks they see on social media as well as taking care of their computers.

Missing Work Turn In
Our goal is that every student passes all of their classes. Please encourage your student to turn in any missing work as soon as possible and to talk with their teachers. We will have student support time on our culture day May 23rd as well as May 29th and 30th.

Graduation Reminder
All families and students are invited to celebrate the class of 2025. Graduation will take place on May 29th @ 2pm at National Western. Parking is free and we’d love to have you join us!

Family Volunteer Opportunity
We are always looking to have families volunteer in various ways. If you are interested in volunteering for Field Day on May 30, in any upcoming field trips, or want to learn more about volunteer opportunities, reach out to Miriam Lara to learn more miriam_lara@dpks12.net.

Substance Use Prevention
Families, we are looking to survey our students on vaping to support with how we better educate students on the dangers of vaping.

Individual student responses are kept private and anonymous; they are only viewed in combination with hundreds or thousands of others. Students are not required to take the survey. The survey will remain open until June 6. The survey will also be sent to family’s email on file and responses will be accepted until June 6.

If you would like to review the questions in the student survey, please click here. If you prefer that your student not participate in the vaping survey, please complete this form by May 16 to opt them out.

If you would like to participate in a family focus group around vaping, please complete this form. Food and refreshments will be provided at the focus groups and family participants will receive gift cards for their participation. Thank you so much for helping us learn more about how we can support our students.
