HS Volleyball: The Grizzlies will be back in action after several days off. Bruce will host two games on Tuesday & Thursday. The Grizzlies will also host the Grizzly C Team Invitational on Saturday morning.
HS Boys’ Soccer: The annual Battle of the Eastside Friendship Series will be played today. Bruce vs Manual @ All City Stadium 4pm. The winner gets possession of the Cup. The Grizzlies will also have two more games this week hosting Arrupe on Wednesday and traveling to DSST Green Valley Ranch on Thursday.
HS Boys’ Basketball: Coach Huff continues to get great numbers out for preseason workouts (19 young men). Coach Huff has been instilling the work ethic and discipline that great programs have and this reminds me of a few words from former World Boxing ChampionTimothy Bradley, “I don’t do this to be average, I do this to be great!”
HS Girls Basketball: Coach Jones is looking at starting his conditioning program this week and has been meeting with Grizzly returners and formulating “The Plan”.
HS/MS Cheer: Last week we had 14 young ladies attend the Grizzly Cheer Camp and on Friday the Grizzlies went through the tryout process. Due to the positive attitudes and work ethic displayed by the group Coach B decided to keep everyone. Coach B follows and understands the work that Darren Hardy, Success Magazine editor and famous author stresses that “Small consistent action over a long period of time reaps great rewards.” (Compound Effect) We look forward to the great work that will take place this year.
HS Fall Baseball: The Grizzly Coop will continue their fall season. They have played 6 games against tough competition, despite remaining winless the group is getting better. Coaches are excited and believe that “Iron sharpens Iron”. This Saturday the Grizzlies will travel to Green Mountain HS to take on the Rams.
Esports: Mr. Johnny spent B2S Night informing prospective students on Esports and walked away with a list 6 potential players to join the Esports squad.
MS Boys Soccer: The Grizzly Cubs are currently 2-1 on the season and will host Bryant Webster on Tuesday for a 4:15pm game.
MS Volleyball: The Grizzly Cubs will have their final open gym this week on Tuesday. We have steadily seen the numbers grow to 12. They are having so much fun!
MS Flag Football: Coach Walker, Coach KT, Coach Foreman & Coach Lindsey have been actively talking to 6-8th graders. We hope to get the prospective players out on the field next week.
Special Grizzly Roar: To Tamaeia Estes-Johnosn & Ta’Najea Miller who worked the Bronco game this Sunday. Also thank you to Coach B for putting in the hours to rebuild the cheer program.
