Good afternoon and Happy New Year,
Here is this week’s schedule.
HS Girls Basketball: The Grizzlies will return to the hardwood this week as they will host Middle Park on Saturday, January 6th. JV will play at 11am, followed by the varsity squad at 12:30pm
HS Boys Basketball: The high school boys basketball team will also be in competition as they will be the final game on Saturday Tip off will be at 2pm.
HS Baseball: Will have an informational meeting on Thursday, January 4th after school in room 213, starting at 3:20pm.
Middle School Boys & Girls Basketball: We are currently working on the schedule for practice and games. *Please note we are going to coop with Marie Greenwood, due to low numbers.
MS Flag Football: Right before break we hosted a pizza party for the boys, handed out certificates and Former Denver Bronco (DPS Alumi) Philip Lindsey sent a video recording for our boys “to keep working on getting better and imporeving the grades”.
MS Volleyball: Right before break Mr. B hosted a pizza party for the team and handed out certificates. We were able to play over 20 volleyball games this MS season. The players had a ton of fun and made tremendous imporvement.
*Due to low numbers for HS Boys Basektball we will officially cancel the Jv season. We will now slide the HS Girls JV team (into the boys slot) and officially field a HS girls JV team. I’m currenlty working with our league schools & officals to make the changes. I will update boys & girls scheudles and get those out to everyone.
A Grizzly Roar goes out to Coach Jones & Coach Valenica as they took our HS Girls team to visit the CU Campus over the break and attended the CU vs Utah Women’s Basketball game. Great experience for the Grizzlies as they had the opportunity to see two of the top players in the nation go head-to-head. Thanks Coach Jones and Coach Valencia.
